Glacier National Park Day

Do you like our new dog, Scout?

We got up fairly early this morning and went to the lodge to download a few pictures and update the blog. While we were there we overheard one of the guests report to the front desk that he was surprised this morning with grizzley bear at his campsite! Good thing we were leaving today.
We grabed a quick bite at the same restaurant inside the park and drive our car using the "Going To The Sun Road". The day before we took the shuttle, which was free and ran from 7 to 7, which gave both of us plenty of opportunity to oggle at the beautiful glaciers despite the rain.
We could not have asked for more beautiful weather. The pictures of the glaciers today are much more impressive with the blue skies and the clouds instead of the overcast skies the day before.
Before we drove out of the park at East Glacier, we went to Many Glacier to see the most photograph site in America. We took quite a few pictures ourselves but I found one on my favorite website :http://www.amwest-travel.com/awt_glacier_many_glacier.html
The American West Travel Log.
On our way to Many Glaciers we actually got to see a mamma grizzley and her two cubs! Dennis was brave enough to get out of the car to take pictures with the zoom lens and got a pretty good picture of the old sow. We have actually seen quite a few different animals on our trip, so many that we decided to start taking a few pictures of them and doing a blog posting just on animals. Just today we have seen the grizzley, a fox, a couple of horses and a squirrel.
On our way to Yellowstone Park we stopped in Helena, MT to wash our jeans that we had been wearing for the last 3 days and to bathe in a bathroom with a regular toilet not one of those "vaulted" ones that I had to use earlier in the week.
Here are just a few of the photos.
Ya'll can keep the horrible weather in Florida--we may never leave this area!
